Our Lethal White Success Story
Rainbow Bridge

MIMI - Aussie Mix

1992 - 2004

Our Mimers was a gentle giant.  She had a heart that just wouldn't quit.  Mimi was diagnosed with bone cancer in one of her rear legs.  Two months later we knew that Mimi's quality of life was suffering - she could barely get up to go outside.  We tried to make her last days the best she could have ever wished for.

We miss you Mimers and can't wait to see you at the bridge.

COPEE - Blue Merle Mini Aussie

1989 - 2003

Copee was Scooter's sister and littermate.  Copee was the shy one, the one who stood behind your legs when she felt unsure.  Copee was rushed to the emergency vet clinic Thanksgiving eve in 2003, where she was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer.  There wasn't anything that we could do to help her except hold her close and let her peacefully cross over the bridge.

I miss you so much my sweet, gentle baby.

PEBBLES - Black Tri Aussie Mini Aussie

1986 - 1999

Pebbles was Scooter and Copee's mom.  We adopted her when she was replaced by a human baby.  At age 13, Pebbles liver failed and she died in her sleep at the vet. You were so sweet and so gentle my soft, black haired baby.

I look forward to the day when you see me waiting for you at the bridge.

GINGER - Blue Merle Mini Aussie

1988 -1989

Ginger was my very first Aussie whom I fell in love with.  I bought her at a pet store and knew nothing about Aussies - thank goodness she was such a great teacher.  Her life was cut short by a tragic accident that left me wanting to die.  Thank God her spirit and her short life inspired me to adopt more Aussies. My heart and my arms still ache for you my sweet ginger.

Rest assured that I will be looking for you first at the bridge.

DAKOTA

Dakota, our only boy, is the least impaired puppy out of the four lethals in a litter of eight. As typical with lethals, he does have the starburst pupils but sees just fine. Dakota, unlike his sisters can hear. He is so handsome and the only one of the siblings that will "smile" at you when he is naughty or wants attention. Dakota's most prized possession (besides his tennis ball) is his magnificent tail.

CHEYENNE

Cheyenne is the most impaired puppy of the four lethals born in a litter of eight.  She was born with the least amount of pigment over her body and is deaf.  She has difficulty focusing in the dark and her tiny pupils are set in the lower corners of her eyes instead of being in the center.  She is the sweetest natured baby and misses nothing because of her disabilities.

COCOA

If you think she looks like "trouble" you guessed right.  Cocoa is our tomboy and the only Red Merle in the bunch (and yes, the typical red head characteristics apply). She is a "Daddy's Girl" and has Mark wrapped around her paw.  Cocoa is deaf like her sister, but lets nothing stand in her way.

Why We Love Them...

Cocoa

Dakota

Cheyenne

Scooter

Mark and I feel grateful, fortunate & blessed because we have these special babies in our life.  The really neat thing is you would never be able to convince Dakota, Cheyenne or Cocoa that they aren't normal or that they have special needs.  They want what every pet desires... someone who loves them, cares for them and protects them.

Please consider adopting a special needs Aussie.  Your life, and theirs, will never be the same.
